Tatiana speaks: how to enjoy the best Hotel Stories in the world

Tatiana speaks – at last!  I recently asked Tatiana, narrator of the Hotel Stories, to describe them.  She answered as follows:

‘If I am honest, I am astonished that so many readers are interested in reading about Ms N, my small but perfectly formed boss.  In my opinion, Ms N may be “glamorous” and “petite”.  But she is also a normal hotel manager like any other – except that she is a woman.

Some men are still not accepting that women can be top managers just as well as men.  Better, actually.

“Occasionally homicidal”? No!

Ms N herself asked me to point out that the publicity describing her as “occasionally homicidal” or “the world’s deadliest hotel manager” is libellous.  She would never seek to harm any guest or colleague.  Nor would she encourage anyone else to harm him.  Not even if he was doing very bad things.

Accidents can happen.

Tragic accidents

It is not the fault of Ms N if men sometimes suffer tragic accidents.  Perhaps you have read about Mr Buddy Rich in Gents in the Florida Everglades.  Or maybe you heard how Mr Matt Miller in The Swedish Woman was found in a pool of blood in an elevator.

Ms N played no part in these events.

With hindsight, Francois, the too-macho diving instructor in Seven Ukrainian Girls should never have asked to be smeared with lubricant before he put on his diving outfit.  And at the time her boss suffered an unfortunate surfing accident in Hawaii in the not-yet-published Total Control, Ms N was in a double-landlocked country far away and thus cannot be held responsible.

I hope that is clear.

Tatiana speaks: I am in the stories, too

So: check out the Complete Collection.  Like I was saying: seven whole stories.  Maybe the best hotel stories in the world.  By the way, I am in all of them, too.

I also, am never hurting anyone.

You can read more about Mr Pimm’s stories in this post: The best Hotel Stories?  Seven?  Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Thank you for listening.’
